Switch to MIME encoding of messages with attachments.  Multiple attachments
using other formats is completely non-standard and actually undefined.  This
is most likely a bug in the newsreader creating such posts:  It would have
to split it up automatically and create three messages with an (1/3), (2/3)
and (3/3) appended to the subject line if it wants to use multiple old-style
attachments.

If you cannot switch to use MIME encoding for messages with attachments, the
only option you have is to manually post each attachment in a separate
message.

FYI: If your GUI newsreader does not support MIME posts, I would suggest to
look for a properly working GUI newsreader.  MIME has existed about as long
as the world wide web, and I know the Mac OS X newsreaders are newer than
that! :-)  I think the Mozilla project has a completely working newsreader.
At least Netscape has always supported MIME messages ever since it had a
newsreader built-in ...
